ANNE
1957-1998
My sister , Anne Gardner, lost her 3 1/2 year battle with breast cancer at
the young age of 41 in 1998. She was my only sister, 8 years younger
than me, and the best friend anyone could hope to have.

Anne was the greatest source of encouragement that I had in the
pursuit of turning my hobby into a fulltime career. Every year she invited
her friends and neighbors into her beautiful home to attend an
"ornament party". She even designed and printed the invitations. The
parties were always a great success.

Anne was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was bright,
intelligent, fun, creative, extremely organized and neat ( I think those
genes somehow passed by me and all went to her). Anne's only child,
Katie, was 8 when she lost her mother. She will be 18 this year and has
grown into a beautiful , smart, witty, creative young lady. Anne would be
proud. My 20 year old son, Matthew, has inherited Anne's love of
history. Anne had a degree in Near Eastern and Classical Archaeology
from Bryn Mawr College. My 18 year old niece, Amanda, has inherited
Anne's need for neat. She can whirl through your house and in an hour
eveything will be neat, clean, and in it's place.

I would like to honor my sister's memory by donating the
entire $5.00 cost of the second CD you purchase to breast
cancer research. The funds will be collected all year and
will be donated at Christmas to the Susan G. Komen
Foundation .

With the purchase of every "Simply Ornaments and More"
CD for $19.95, you can purchase a second CD for $5.00.
The entire $5.00 for the second CD will be donated to the
Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Thank you for your
support.

Finding a cure for breast cancer is very
important to me.
I lost my only sister.
My Mother lost 2 sisters.
My Grandmother lost 2 sisters.
My father's uncle lost his wife.

Thankfully, my cousin is a survivor and
my sister-in-law's Mother is a survivor.

I am looking ahead to the future
when the young ladies in my family
do not have to worry about this
devastating disease.

Please do a monthly self breast exam and
remind the men in your family
that women are not the only ones
who can get breast cancer.
